These modern snowshoes crafted by the specialized brand Swordfish are ideal for both experienced snowshoers and newcomers to the sport, proving ready to tackle expert-level destinations thanks also to the pair of telescopic poles that offer greater support and improved stability on slopes and fresh snow. The anodized aluminum alloy frame ensures that the Annapurna snowshoes not only provide optimal traction and a safe gait on fresh snow but also withstand very harsh climates effectively. The boot housing area is designed with high-quality plastic materials to ensure the right buoyancy on fresh snow without the risk of sinking.
The snowshoes are equipped with an excellent crampon system that makes them ideal for walking even on steep slopes, both uphill and downhill, enhancing grip even on hard snow. The front crampons under the snowshoe feature a 7-point steel claw, complemented by extra aluminum crampons at the heel for greater hold on snow and longer traverses, ensuring safer and more controlled walking even downhill. The pivoting crampon system removes snow towards the rear, facilitating direction changes and reducing effort in ascent, preventing accidental slips. Comfortable and quick to fasten, the dual ratchet bindings in TPU allow the snowshoes to adapt to most winter footwear and securely anchor each step to the ground. The rear strap allows adjustment of the heel position, while the snap closure ensures a tight fit of the boot and maximum hold during walking.
The included pair of poles facilitates balance on the snowshoes and offers maximum control on every incline, transferring part of the effort to the arms to prevent overburdening the feet and lower body. Both poles have an ergonomic rubber grip with a steel tip and basket, and the shaft is made from durable, foldable aluminum, adjustable in height from 65 to 125 cm, allowing for easy folding even with gloves on and convenient storage in the included bag with minimal space.
