Eureka is a high-end wheelchair model that is part of the new 'wind-designed' wheelchair line created by the Italian company Surace to provide a lightweight, comfortable, and durable daily support for the elderly and disabled.
Thanks to its lightweight and modular aluminum construction, this self-propelled wheelchair falls into the category of super lightweight wheelchairs, designed to meet the needs of those with disabilities or reduced mobility who lead very active lives and seek to move independently and safely. The large pneumatic rear wheels with a diameter of 60 cm and the aluminum handrail make it easy to move in any kind of space, both indoors and outdoors, aided by the anti-tip castors and elevator wheels that allow passage through narrow spaces like doors and tight passages with ease. Additionally, the two swivel detachable footplates can be conveniently removed to shorten the frame length when necessary. The wheelchair is also equipped with push handles for use by an attendant.
Extremely easy to open and close thanks to an innovative folding system, when not in use, the wheelchair can be folded compactly and stored in any corner of your house or luggage with ease, making it ideal for those who need a wheelchair always within reach and who travel frequently by car. The cross braces, or the supporting tubular structures of the wheelchair, are double, which enables it to support a weight of up to 130 kg. Comfort is ensured by the high-quality nylon-covered ergonomic seat, which can be height-adjusted to suit any need. Finally, the padded desk-type flip-up armrests on the sides of the chair significantly assist the transfer of the disabled or elderly from the chair to the bed and vice versa, as well as facilitate pulling up to a table for comfortable dining while seated.
